Nobody likes to put a lot of thought into vacuum cleaners, except vacuum cleaner salesmen and collectors. But, vacuum cleaners are very useful and we all need one, maybe even two if you have a two story home and don't like dragging them up and down the stairs. There are lots of vacuums on the market however and knowing which one to buy can be very difficult. Hoover vacuums are some of the best vacuums on the market. There are bag and bagless varieties as well as HEPA and non HEPA vacuums. You can spend under 0 all the way up to several hundred for a Hoover. Fortunately, they last a long time so you won't need Hoover vacuum parts any time soon. Of all the vacuums on the market, if you buy a Hoover you will have a good vacuum.

Dyson

Dyson vacuums are generally more expensive than other brands, but the benefit is that they work. Dirt Devil vs Sanitaire

comparison between dirt devil and sanitaire. NOTE. If you care about your vacuum and like it alot, DO NOT vacuum up tortilla chips with it, I learned that valuable lesson after this video. what happens is the grease from the chips coat the fan chamber of the vacuum then dust cakes up inside, and then you have to take it all apart and wash the parts and clean the inside which takes about 45 minutes, and not to mention the smell of greasy chips in the vacuum! ewwww!

A Look at Dyson's Cyclone Vacuum Cleaner

!±8± A Look at Dyson's Cyclone Vacuum Cleaner

For many years our faithful Amway Vacuum Cleaner (one of their better products) an upright vacuum cleaner had kept our floors clean. There is no comparison between uprights and traditional vacuum cleaners. Uprights win hands down - better suction for longer. So their was no choice we wanted to replace the Amway but not at the high price of another Amway Cleaner.

Whilst out shopping we came across a Dyson Cyclone upright. The salesperson was very keen on the product. At first impression this purple plastic seems junkie. Not a huge fan of plastic given how much it can break and not a fan of weird colors the cleaner did not grab my wife or I at first. However we left it a day or two and came back for a second look at it. We made the sales person work hard for the sale, running the vacuum cleaner on the shop floor and having him show us the complete ins and out. Despite our original worries we brought it for 9 AUD. Yes expensive but not the most expensive one out there.

Upon using the Dyson for over a year now we are 100% happy with it. It does a great job at sucking up carpets and tiles, etc. Its easy to disassemble and wash the holder. Its bag less which means no need to go to the expense of buying bags. It has three attachments, nicely fitted into the vacuum cleaner itself.

You don't just have to use it as an upright. You can extend its long hose and vacuum in the more 'traditional' way. The special "cyclone" suction ensures you keep more suction for longer, although the suction will lessen if you don't clean out the filters, etc on a regular basis.

The floor vacuum has a brush control system which is probably the only annoying part to clean. You need a knife or large screwdriver to open the front brush and remove strings and other material that wraps around the brush. Dyson could improve the vacuum cleaner by making this task easier to do.

Overall I rate this product as a 9/10. The plastic is very hard and durable and the wife likes pinks and purples so I live with the color.

(This is a personal review. We are not related to Dyson in any way. I accept no liability in relation to this article).
